There are a few super ayurvedic herbs which helps treating the imbalances and disorders -

Ashwagandha is an ancient medicinal herb. It’s classified as an adaptogen, meaning that it can help your body manage stress. Ashwagandha also provides numerous other benefits for your body and brain like boosting brain function, lower blood sugar and cortisol levels, and help fight symptoms of anxiety and depression. Ashwagandha is one of the most important herbs in Ayurveda, a form of alternative medicine based on Indian principles of natural healing. It has been used for over 3,000 years to relieve stress, increase energy levels, and improve concentration. Ashwagandha is Sanskrit is the smell of the horse, which refers to both its unique smell and ability to increase strength.

The botanical name of Ashwagandha is ‘Withania Somnifera’, and it’s also known by several other names, including Indian ginseng and winter cherry. The ashwagandha plant is a small shrub with yellow flowers that’s native to India and North Africa. Extracts or powder from the plant’s root or leaves are used to treat a variety of conditions. Many of its health benefits are attributed to its high concentration of withanolides, which have been shown to fight inflammation and tumour growth.

Regulate Blood Sugar Levels

In several studies, ashwagandha has been shown to lower blood sugar levels. One test-tube study found that it increases insulin secretion and improved insulin sensitivity in muscle cells. Also, several human studies have suggested that it can reduce blood sugar levels in both healthy people and those with diabetes.

Anticancer Properties

Animal and test-tube studies have found that withaferin — a compound in ashwagandha — helps induce apoptosis, which is the programmed death of cancer cells. It also impedes the growth of new cancer cells in several ways. First, withaferin is believed to promote the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) inside cancer cells, disrupting their function. Second, it may cause cancer cells to become less resistant to apoptosis (8Trusted Source).

Regulate Cortisol levels

Cortisol is known as a stress hormone given that your adrenal glands release it in response to stress, as well as when your blood sugar levels get too low.

Unfortunately, in some cases, cortisol levels may become chronically elevated, which can lead to high blood sugar levels and increased fat storage in the abdomen.

Shatavari is an Ayurvedic rasayana herb which is also known as the female-friendly herb. It is helpful in menstrual disorders and acts as a uterine tonic. It enhances breast development and increases breast milk production by regulating hormonal balance. Shatavari is also beneficial for men as it improves testosterone levels. Shatavari might also promote memory functions due to its antioxidant activity. According to Ayurveda, Shatavari boosts immunity due to its Rasayana (rejuvenating) property and helps in weight gain due to its Balya property. Shatavari powder can be taken along with milk or honey twice a day to get relief from the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. Applying Shatavari powder paste along with milk or honey on the skin helps to get rid of wrinkles. It can also help promote wound healing when applied along with coconut oil. People with weak digestion are advised to avoid taking Shatavari as it is Guru (heavy) in nature and might take time to get digested.

Regulate Premenstrual syndrome

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) refers to a cycle of physical, emotional and behavioral symptoms. According to Ayurveda, an impaired Vata and Pitta circulate in different channels of the body, causing various physical symptoms of PMS. Taking Shatavari helps to reduce the symptoms of PMS. This is because of the Vata and Pitta balancing properties of Shatavari.

Increase breast milk production

Shatavari is very useful in lactating mothers especially those who face the problem of inadequate production of breast milk. Shatavari is used traditionally in Ayurvedic medicines to increase the production of breast milk in lactating mothers because of its Stanyajanana (increase breast milk production) nature.

Antioxidant properties

Antioxidants help prevent free-radical cell damage. They also battle oxidative stress, which causes disease. Shatavari is high in saponins which have high antioxidant abilities. According to a study in 2004, a new antioxidant called Racemofuran was identified within Shatavari root. Two known antioxidants — Asparagamine A and Racemosol — were also found.

Boost immune system

Shatavari is used in ayurveda as an immunity booster. According to a 2004 study, animals treated with Shatavari root extract had increased antibodies to a strain of whooping cough when compared to untreated animals. The treated animals recovered faster and had improved health overall. This suggested an improved immune response.
